What is under-eye PRF?
Stay Ageless Clinic offers under-eye PRF and EZ Gel autologous biofiller at both Plainview, NY and Center Moriches locations. PRF uses the patient's own blood to produce a natural treatment for under-eye hollows, dark circles, and tear trough volume loss, with zero risk of Tyndall effect because it contains no light-refracting HA filler component.
Why the under-eye area requires precision
The under-eye area is one of the most delicate and frequently treated areas in aesthetic medicine, and one of the most unforgiving when the wrong treatment is chosen. Traditional hyaluronic acid fillers placed in the tear trough carry specific risks not present in other facial areas: Tyndall effect, migration, and a higher risk of vascular complication due to proximity to critical vascular structures.
At Stay Ageless Clinic in Plainview, NY and Center Moriches, under-eye treatment is approached differently.
PRF: the natural alternative
PRF, or Platelet-Rich Fibrin, is produced from a small sample of the patient's own blood, spun in a centrifuge without additives to create a natural fibrin matrix retaining platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors.
This is injected into the tear trough area to stimulate collagen production, improve skin quality, and gradually restore volume through the patient's own regenerative biology.
There is zero risk of Tyndall effect because PRF is entirely from the patient's own blood.
There is also zero allergic reaction risk for the same reason.
EZ Gel: autologous biofiller
EZ Gel is produced by heating PRF to approximately 75 degrees Celsius, causing the fibrin to form a gel that can be injected as a soft tissue filler.
EZ Gel provides gentle, natural-looking volume in the tear trough while continuing to release growth factors after injection, combining immediate volumizing effect with progressive regenerative response over weeks. It is available at both Plainview and Center Moriches.
Who is a good candidate?
Patients who have tried or are concerned about the risks of traditional HA fillers in the tear trough area may be candidates for PRF or EZ Gel under-eye treatment.
- Patients concerned about Tyndall effect under thin skin
- Patients with very thin under-eye skin
- Patients who prefer 100% natural treatments
- Patients whose main concern is skin quality rather than volume
What to expect
A small blood draw is taken at the appointment. The blood is spun in the centrifuge. PRF is prepared and injected, or heated to create EZ Gel. The entire process takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
Mild swelling and occasional bruising for 24-48 hours is normal. Initial results are visible within 1-2 weeks as swelling resolves. Full collagen stimulation results develop over 4-8 weeks. Most patients benefit from 2-3 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart for optimal results.
